The Graham Foundation of Connecticut Reports More Than
$71,000 In Grants in Fiscal 2012

WESTPORT, CT September 20, 2012 – THE GRAHAM FOUNDATION OF CONNECTICUT, INC., donated more than $71,000 in grants to non-profit organizations in Fairfield County during fiscal 2012, which closed June 30.

The grant total includes $71,000.00 from the foundation’s funding areas to selected nonprofits that serve in Fairfield County.

“Our goal is to help those qualified non-profit charities in our own backyard that need our help”, said Mark S. Graham, Executive Director and Treasurer. “By working with these community organizations we hope we are helping to make a difference, and create a positive impact”.

Grants from discretionary interest funds at THE GRAHAM FOUNDATION OF CONNECTICUT, INC., are awarded through a competitive grant application process that falls within the foundation's priority funding areas, namely the arts, education physically challenged and sports. It is these areas that were targeted by the family foundation founder, Robert A. “Red” Graham, Jr.

2012 recipients include :

The American Cancer Society Regional Center "capital campaign", the Westport Country Playhouse "education programming", the Fairfield Rotary Follies Foundation, The Courage to Speak "drug education and prevention program", St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The Norma Pfriem Breast Cancer Center, The Ballet Etude Dance Company, The Westport-Weston Family YMCA, The Domus Foundation, The Greater Bridgeport Youth Symphony, Near & Far Aid, The Levitt Pavillion, Boy Scouts of America, and Fairfield Jr. Babe Ruth Baseball.
